Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of ScanStatement (the “Service”), operated by [OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME], [REGISTERED_ADDRESS], France. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
ScanStatement lets you upload a bank statement PDF and extract its transactions into a reconciled spreadsheet you can export as CSV or Excel.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You may only upload documents you have the right to process. You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, nor attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or overload it.
Accuracy — please read
Extraction is performed by automated AI systems and may contain errors. The reconciliation check (opening balance + transactions = closing balance) is an aid to help you spot problems — it is not a guarantee of correctness.
You are responsible for reviewing every result before relying on it. The Service does not provide financial, accounting, tax or legal advice.
Plans, billing and cancellation
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscriptions billed monthly through Stripe, each with a monthly page allowance. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices with prior notice.
Intellectual property
We own the Service and its software. You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the data you export.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes are subject to the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
